Just because a depressed person is happy doesn’t mean they’re not depressed.
Just because a depressed person experiences happiness doesn’t make them a ‘bad’ depressed person.
Just because a depressed person has a good day doesn’t mean they’re not depressed.
Just because a depressed person is doing well one day doesn’t mean they’ll be doing well the next day.
Keep these in mind.
Since Christian-bashing seems to be a concern, and I’ve been seeing a bit on my dash lately, I feel the need to comment on my own stance.
Christians are fine. For the most part, they’re good people. Lots of them are awesome and tolerant and open-minded and caring. Granted, there are bad ones in the bunch, but that’s not the fault of every Christian I meet.
I’m not going to bash their beliefs, because they have the right to believe whatever they want, the same as I do. I may joke around and make some irreverent comments now and then, but I will not bash someone simply for being a Christian.
If anyone uses Christian beliefs or rhetoric to excuse racism, sexism, bigotry, or any other sort of douchebag behavior, they are FAIR FUCKING GAME.
Actually, that pretty much goes for anyone who uses any religion as an excuse to be an asshole.
Bottom Line: Christians are okay. Assholes are not. Assholes who try to justify their shit with religion will receive a piece of my mind big enough to choke on.
- You can be poor and have internet access.
- You can be poor and have a cell phone.
- You can be poor and have a car.
- You can be poor and have an air conditioner.
- You can be poor and have a refrigerator.
- You can be poor and have cable.
- You can be poor and have credit cards.
- You can be poor and have makeup and jewelery.
- You can be poor and have a gaming console.
- You can be poor and have a dvd player.
- You can be poor and have a tv.
None of these things are mutually exclusive. If you think they are, you’re most likely an asshole.
- You can have a decent job and make a reasonable amount of money and still be poor due to medical debts, divorce, or any number of events that put you in to debt.
The fact that this needs to be said just proves to me that most people aren’t even worth the effort to spit on for thinking otherwise. SMH
Feminine faces, as well as bodies, are trained to the expression of deference. Under male scrutiny, women will avert their eyes or cast them downward; the female gaze is trained to abandon its claim to the sovereign status of seer. The “nice” girl learns to avoid the bold and unfettered staring of the “loose” woman, who looks at whatever and whomever she pleases. Women are trained to smile more than men, too. In the economy of smiles, as elsewhere, there is evidence that women are exploited, for they give more than they receive in return; in a smile-elicitation study, one researcher found that the rate of smile return by women was 93 percent, by men only 67 percent. In many typical women’s jobs, graciousness, deference, and the readiness to serve are part of the work; this requires the worker to fix a smile on her face for a good part of the working day, whatever her inner state. The economy of touching is out of balance, too: men touch women more often and on more parts of the body than women touch men: female secretaries, factory workers, and waitresses report that such liberties are taken routinely with their bodies.
How ‘bout this Slayer? Is she tough?
When she kissed him
That’s all I could see.
‘Cause that was

That she had
